Jed was born and raised in Orillia, and has developed a strong attachment to this community. After graduating York University in 2003 where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree with a focus on housing and business, he decided to return to Orillia and start on his career path.

Given a longtime interest in Financial Planning, He decided to pursue a career in that direction. Jed started as a Financial Security Advisor with Freedom 55 Financial in 2004. After one year he was promoted to a management position as Director, Business Development for three years. During those three years he twice won the Excellence Award for exceeding the goals of the Financial Center, while continuing to build his personal practice. During that time Jed trained and mentored fourteen new advisors in the Simcoe County area.
